Rollin “Rocky” McAllen, age 74, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2006, at home with his wife Patricia and mother-in-law Ella by his side. He was born March 7, 1932, in San Francisco. Rocky was a 27-year Lake County resident.

Rocky was in the U.S. Army and then went into the Air Force. He retired from Signetics Corp of Sunnyvale, where he traveled extensively and met many people who have become very important friends.

Rocky chose to retire from Los Gatos to Clearlake because of his love of the water and all the water activities; he instilled the love of those pasttimes in his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Patricia; two children, Frank and Lori; three loving grandsons, Steve, Joey and Gavin; brother, Budd McAllen; sisters, Leona Davis and Shirley Farris; in-laws, Roselle and Tom Blanchard, Judy Funch, Stan and Carmel Engel, Connie Vierr, Jim and Tina Engel, and numerous nieces and nephews.

We will all miss this wonderfully generous, loving, caring and humorous man, who was loved by many.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 6, at Jones and Lewis Clear Lake Memorial Chapel, 16140 Main St., Lower Lake.
