It seems as since the fires have been so bad around our area recently, the smoke has been very uncomfortable on our eyes, throats, lungs, etc. . . . We are so accustomed to our perfectly clean air. Now, just stop and think . . . with all the big housing developments happening in our beautiful county, and all the extra people, gasoline vehicles and loss of orchards, our air quality is headed for disaster.
As it is now, after the fires are under control, our air quality will resume as before, but if our air quality is lost because of overpopulation, it will never return as we have it now . . . smog happens.
What is it going to take to make our supervisors realize that we do not need more large developments in our beautiful county?
We do not have the medical facilities, fire equipment or manpower, police personnel, schools, water or roads to accommodate such projects.
For those who want big box stores, growth and suburban sprawl, let them find another spot, and just leave our little corner of the world as it is.
Thank you for allowing me to “air my opinion.”
