Tickets are now on sale for the upcoming Oldtime Bluegrass Festival, Saturday, Sept. 23, at Anderson Marsh State Historic Park, and local folks are being urged to buy their tickets early.
“We are doing quite a lot of out-of-county promotion and have a limited number of pre-sale tickets available, so we are encouraging people to get their tickets soon,” commented event organizer, Anna McAtee.
This new Bluegrass festival at Anderson Marsh State Historic Park, on State Route 53 between Lower Lake and Clearlake, will feature authentic Bluegrass musicians like the Stairwell Sisters and the Roadoilers from the Bay Area, as well as popular local Bluegrass musicians like Pat Ickes, Laura Lind, Don Coffin, Jim Williams, Gus Garelick and the Konocti Fiddlers.
It will be a fun day-long event, starting at 10 a.m. and lasting until 6 p.m. with after-hours jam sessions planned. Craft booths featuring local handmade crafts will be featured, Native American dancing by the Elem dancers, several different food booths and local wines and beer will be available.
A free shuttle provided by Lake Transit will handle over-flow parking.
Proceeds from the event will fund the development of a living history program at the park to benefit local school children.
