Evan Bennett passed away peacefully August 6, 2006. He was a 47-year Lake County resident, and a veteran of World War II. He was loved and respected by the community and dearly loved by his family.

Services will be held at Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary, at 1 p.m. Saturday August 12.

Ruby Jewel Chatham

Ruby Jewel Chatham passed away Aug. 7, 2006 at St. Helena Hospital at the age of 72. Milton Quenzer, her companion and best friend, was at her side when she passed. She is preceded in death by husband Clifford Chatham and son Joe Turner. One of Ruby”s favorite pastimes was working with children at the First Baptist Church on Mullen Avenue. Ruby was a member of the First Baptist Church. Ruby”s favorite hobby was playing Bingo with her senior friends. She loved playing western and gospel music and watching her bulb plants grow. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 14, 2006 at Jones and Lewis Memorial Chapel, 16140 Main Street in Lower Lake. Service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel at Jones and Lewis. Donations can be made to the Annie Armstrong Foundation through the First Baptist Church, Mullen Avenue in Clearlake; or your favorite charity.
