LAKEPORT — A wildland fire four miles inside the Lake/Mendocino counties line on Highway 175 (Hopland Grade) closed the road to traffic in both directions as California Department of Forestry units battled a blaze that had consumed between 100-120 acres as of 10 p.m. Thursday.

According to CDF, four air tankers, one air-attack unit, two helicopters, 10 engines, four dozers and four hand crews had responded to the scene, though the two helicopters were later recalled. Additional Lake County units also responded.

CDF units expected to be at the scene all night and into Friday morning to mop up.
