Arnold Rystad age 87 a long-time Lake County resident passed away at his home in Kelseyville on Aug. 14, 2006, with family at his side. He was born on May 6, 1919, in the small farming community of Rembrandt, IA.

Arnold was known by his family and friends for his kind and generous nature, and will also be remembered for his passions: woodworking and helping others.

He was also known in the local business community as one of the founders and owners of Work Right Products, Inc., a shower door manufacturing company he was instrumental in bringing to Lake County in 1972. Arnold designed Work Right”s products and operated its factory in Finley for over fifteen years.

He was predeceased by his beloved and loving wives, Phyllis Rystad, and Nancy Kennon Rystad; his beloved son, Lance Rystad; and his four sisters, Catherine Anderson, Viola Moklestad, Genevieve Boese, and Agnes Enderson.

Arnold is survived by his daughter, Connie Rystad of Kelseyville; his step-son, Hans Kennon of Fla; his in-laws, the Rev. Dr. Lynn C. Freele, of Galilee Lutheran Church, Kelseyville, Vel and Saroj Selvan of Orangevale, and Warren Anderson of IA; his special friend and helper, Rene Pelayo; and many nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends.

We say to this wonderful, gentle, man who has touched our lives and remains in our hearts: “Well done Arnold. Well done.”

A service celebrating Arnold”s life will be held at 11 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 27, at Galilee Lutheran Church, 8860 Soda Bay Rd. Kelseyville.
