COBB MOUNTAIN — Kelseyville High School golf coach and Record-Bee golf columnist John Berry defended his title this past weekend during the Adams Springs Club Championship at Adams Springs Golf Course on Cobb Mountain.

Berry and Rob Roy superintendent Billy Witt were tied after 36 holes of regulation play following idential rounds of 73-72 — 145.

In the ensuing playing, Berry parred the first extra playoff hole to defend his title and win his seventh club championship at Adams Springs.

Bart Hayes finished third (79-78 — 157) and Nick Schaefer (76-82 — 158) came in fourth.

In the net flight, Jim DeCristofaro (63-66 — 129) won the net club championship by one stroke over Kevin McCormack (68-62 — 130). Eddie Mullins (71-61 — 132) was third and Ed Cebula (64-73 — 137) came in fourth.
