LAKEPORT — As a group of 50 looked on newly elected Dave Geck was sworn in as Lake County Superintendent of Schools on Friday. Friends, family and colleagues gathered at the Lake County office of Education to witness Geck”s ascent to the department”s top job.
In a statement delivered after the ceremony Superintendent Geck thanked those who shared his vision and stressed the importance of “education as the key to becoming a successful and contributing member of our society.” He added, “The county superintendent has the opportunity to lead an organization that can make a difference in the lives and education of the children and adults of Lake County.”
Geck concluded with, “I am excited about the opportunity to work with you in making our county office the best it can be, and a model for the rest of the state.”
