This “dumping problem” is totally out of control and I”m curious who the mentally challenged individuals are who brainstormed the idea that the vehicle pulloff area at Soda Bay and Point Lakeview Roads was a county dump site.
About four or five weeks ago someone dumped a load of plumbing pipes. Two days later it was a dozen large garbage bags of tree cuttings along with dry household garbage, box fan, paint can, lumber, clothes, etc.
Now the ultimate: On Aug. 29, between 6 and 6:35 a.m., someone dumps their hot water heater!
Apparently they did not see the movie “An Inconvenient Truth” which advocates a cleaner environment and recycling.
Are you so busy (or lazy) that you can”t take a few minutes of your day to run to the dump? Certainly the dump fee won”t break your bank account.
Someone (I assume Caltrans) picked up the pipes but not the tree cuttings and other stuff.
Some people like to sit in there for lunch or to rest. How can you uncaringly expect someone to clean up your garbage?
Since I”m “on a roll,” let me also mention Highland Springs where everything from carpet, tires, car parts and party goers” beer cans are dumped on the ground (and, oddly, there was a garbage can 10 feet away the day I picked up two dozen cans).
My dog and I go out there so she can run and to enjoy the peace and beauty, but some people sure make the world an ugly place.
Please be the decent human being God made you to be go pick it up and take it to the dump.
Some people need to “clean up their act.”
