Shirley Ann Pettenger passed away Sept. 5, 2006 and was born March 15, 1935 in Riverside.
Shirley married Ervin C. Pettenger in 1953 and they had three sons, Ervin Jr., Doug and Rick, who all lived in Lakeport. Rick preceded Shirley in death on Aug. 17, 2005.
Over the years Shirley worked at a local bank, made a variety of crafts that she sold at holiday fairs, did bookkeeping for some local businesses and helped care for several friends who were elderly and living at home.
Shirley is survived by her husband and friend, Elvin C. Pettenger of Nevada; son, Elvin Jr. of Clearlake; son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Lori of Salem, Ore.; and daughter-in-law, Debbie of Elk Grove; as well as nine grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10 at Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary in Lakeport.
