Kelli Jean (Mankins) Wakefield was born Jan. 1, 1969 and passed away Aug. 21, 2006 at the age of 37.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Wakefield and daughters, Courtney and Annie. Ms. Wakefield, a 1988 graduate of Upper Lake High School, is also survived by parents, Garland and Sandy Mankins of Crescent City; grandparents, William and Dorothy Byrne of Redwood City; and siblings Lesley Wellborn of Corning, Tracy Mankins of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Aaron Mankins of Ukiah. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ms. Wakefield was laid to rest on Saturday, Aug. 26 at the Chapel of Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas.
She was a volunteer and supporter of Special Olympics. Donations to Special Olympics in her honor can be forwarded to Lake County Special Olympics; P.O. Box 94; Lakeport, CA 95453.
