Have you noticed that the Republicans are still using the same old tactics to try to sway voters to vote for them because those tactics worked in the last major election? What they used were lies and fear. Lies such as the Swift Boat Veterans against Sen. Kerry. The “Fear Factor”: Vote Republican or America is doomed! The Republicans are hoping that Americans are dumb enough to fall for the same thing again.
Well here we are getting ready for November”s election and Bush is using the fear card once again, this time quoting and using Osama bin Laden”s name. You know the same Osama who Bush ignored to start the war in Iraq by leaving only a token force in Afghanistan to go after him.
Then Dan K. Thomasson”s editorial on the “Overblown Plame Affair.” All he says ignores the fact that “outing” Plame was done because Plame”s husband disagreed with the Bush lie that Iraq was getting equipment to generate nuclear weapons from Africa.
The Republicans have shown over and over again what disdain they have for anyone who is not rich. The Republicans have made this country into something most of the world now hates. The Republicans have shown the working class people what they think of them by giving the ultra rich a massive tax break.
The Republicans have shown what they think of the working class by still wanting to privatize Social Security when it has been shown it is not needed.
The Republicans have shown their disdain for our children”s future by forcing them to pay for the dismal shape this country”s finances are in.
Just my personal opinion but the Republicans have shown me they are incapable of leading this country and need to be removed from power in order for this country to get itself out of the morass it is now in.
Whatever your opinion is please get out and vote this November.
