CLEARLAKE — The Clearlake Police Department is investigating the cause of death of a man whose body was found floating in Cache Creek in the 16000 block vicinity of Dam Road just before noon on Saturday.
After the body was retrieved from the creek, family members identified the man as 23-year-old Pete Frederick Salazar II.
Salazar was reported missing only two hours before his body was found when he did not return home the previous night or earlier on Saturday.
CPD Detective sergeant Craig Clausen said that no additional information on the incident is available at this time. However, anyone who may have further information, the CPD said, should contact CPD Detective Martin Snyder at 994-8251, extension 314.
