I am a devotee of good music. On July 19, Konocti Harbor Resort & Spa served up an excellent choice with Bruce Hornsby and his Noisemakers and an unexpected, extraordinary encore with Bonnie Raitt.
Bennett does bring us good music and now I”m requesting that he do whatever necessary for us to hear good music.
Some of the indoor listening crowd was loud and rude. I requested that the waitress ask some folks to remain quiet during Hornsby”s set and discourse with the audience. She was understandably busy.
Finally, Hornsby walked off stage in the middle of a gentle, soulful presentation. He stated that he was too old to suck it up and wouldn”t compete with disrespect. I was truly ashamed to be part of that audience.
Please honor the musicians brought to us. Those attending, take it outside if you choose to talk. Konocti, follow through with assertive security to escort those talking during a performance out the door.
Bruce Hornsby needs to hear an apology from Konocti Harbor Resort & Spa and those attending, albeit disrespectfully. He deserved so much better.
