SEBASTOPOL — Keeper Kelsey Welton stopped 15 of 16 shots on goal, but the Middletown Mustangs couldn”t generate any offense in a 1-0 loss to the Analy Tigers during non-league varsity girls” soccer action on Monday in Sebastopol.
“They were just a very, very tough team. Our girls played up a level to play with them,” Middletown coach Louise Owens said. “And they did a fantastic job.”
Analy had 16 shots on goal to Middletown”s 10, seven of which came off the foot of Kayla Welton.
“They just played very hard, very well, I”m very impressed,” Owens said of the Mustangs, now 2-3-1 overall.
