Lower Lake High School Cross Country teams hosted a Coastal Mountain Conference meet on Wednesday, Sept. 27 at Anderson Marsh State Historic Park. The meet included the Trojans, Middletown, Santa Rosa Christian and Willits high schools. The course encompassed 2.6 miles.
Crossing the finish line first for the Trojans in the girls” division was Kate Lyons, who clocked in at 22.52, good for a sixth place finish. The next Lower Lake runner to complete the course was Monica Torrey at 25.54 in 15th place.
Jamie Dawson finished in 20th place at 31.18 and Anna Sutherland took 21st place at 31.20 for Lower Lake. Other Lower Lake times were clocked by Heather Pike, 24th place at 35.26; Paige Salvante, 25th place at 38.37; Angel Oranje, 26th place at 41.16; and Kendra Neece, 27th place at 41.17.
Sean Milligan finished in 18th place at 36.00 in the boys” junior varsity division.
In boys” varsity action, Jeremy Parks finished in 15th place at 18.18 followed by Trojan teammate Cameron Dudding in 16th place at 18.18. Other Trojan times were recorded by Shy Savok, 18th place at 18.45; Jeff Wilder, 22nd place at 19.00; Jamison Walrath, 26th place at 22.01; and Laban Cox, 30th place at 28.25.
Lower Lake Cross Country teams travel to Rincon Valley, today, Wednesday, Oct. 4 to compete in a Coastal Mountain Conference meet against host, Clear Lake and St. Vincent high schools. Race time is 3:30 p.m.
