Thanks, Caltrans, for spending approximately $2 million of taxpayer money to correct the traffic problems at Highways 29 and 281 (Kit”s Corner).

A lot of good it did. The community asked for a traffic light but was turned down. Caltrans said a road realignment was what was needed to correct problems at the busy intersection.

As we all know (but apparently the road engineer didn”t), people don”t stop for a realigned road. So now we have another family left to grieve for the loss of a loved one and others have to suffer through painful injuries and memories.

Wake up, Caltrans, and put in a traffic light. We know it won”t stop all the accidents but will stop people from just pulling out in front of an unseen vehicle.
