Elsie Ferguson Pendleton, a well-known resident of Corinthian Bay, passed away after a brief illness, Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2006. She served on the Lake County Grand Jury and was an active volunteer in many local organizations, as well as hosting her own radio talk show in Lakeport. She was born in Melrose, Mass., and grew up, from age 14, in Hollywood, attending Hollywood High School. She was under contract with Paramount Studios in the 30s, but gave up her career to have her children, Lee, Connie, Gary and Bradley. Elsie is survived by her three children; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her husband of more than 40 years, Jerry Pendleton (owner of FASTOP in Lakeport). She will be missed by many. At her request no services are planned. Memorial donations may be made to the Clear Lake Performing Arts Association and Lakeport Animal Shelter.
