* Vehicle amnesty days are available to Clearlake residents, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, and Saturday, Oct. 28, at Middletown Towing and Vehicle Dismantlers, 15970 Polk Avenue in Clearlake. Title to a vehicle is not required to dispose of vehicles. California Highway Patrol officers and volunteers, as well as Lake County Code Compliance staff, will be on site to assist participants with the necessary forms to release ownership. For more information, call 263-2309. Motor homes, school buses and travel trailers are not being accepted during vehicle amnesty days.

Saturday, Oct. 28

* The Lake County Farm, Home, and 4-H Foundation is hosting a Friends of the Foundation dinner to benefit local 4-H programs, 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, in Fritch Hall at the Lake County Fairgrounds, 401 Martin Street in Lakeport.
