LOWER LAKE — There was a silver lining for the Lower Lake Trojans, who fell 25-15, 25-4, 25-23 to the steamroller that is the Kelseyville High School varsity volleyball team in a North Central League I North match on Thursday night in Lower Lake.

Just ask Lower Lake coach Danessa Udy.

“You play that caliber of team and you”re glad all your games aren”t 25-4,” Lower Lake”s Udy said of the second-game score. “It was so bad they had us down 15-1 at one point and I told the girls, C”mon, let”s get three points.” We got four.”

Amy Dawson reeled off 14 straight points at the service line in game two as Kelseyville, now 22-2 on the season, improved to 2-0 in the North standings. Lower Lake dropped to 1-2.

“We made a few more service errors than we would have liked but we still served the ball pretty well,” Kelseyville coach Larry Bresso said.

Lauren Nixon had seven kills, seven digs, three aces and two blocks for the Knights. Jamie Stockman and Katie King each added four kills, Stockman had three aces and seven digs and King had four digs and two aces.

Amber Shoffeitt”s five kills and four aces paced Lower Lake and Jessica Reising had three kills.
