That was a very good letter by Eric Schneider about elections and voting (“What”s the point in voting?”, Readers” Views, Sept. 28).
The man has given it a lot of thought, which brought several things to mind.
In our last election we voted absentee. In the old days we got an indelible pencil with it — this time they told us that we had to use a No. 2 soft-lead one. Why? Makes one wonder when it takes several weeks to “count” them then sometimes the ballots are “lost” for several weeks. Do they have a good eraser?
