Children”s Creative Art Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at Museum Park on Main Street in Lakeport. Children of all ages are invited to participate in this fun and creative day of art and games.
School children throughout Lake County are encouraged to participate in the scarecrow competition. Classes and young people”s organizations wishing to create a scarecrow to enter in the contest will receive $50 for their materials.? The enthusiastic Dry Creek 4-H club will be conducting fun games and activities during the day, or try your hand at creating a masterpiece or a bit of whimsy on the sidewalk in chalk. If you”ve ever wanted to draw on a walkway, this is your chance and your day!? Experience of fun of working in clay with Frances and Francis and create your own piece of art.? This is a day for every one of every age to join in and celebrate a day of Art.?
This event is a part of the Lake County Arts Council, the Lakeport Regional Chamber of Commerce and The Main Street Association”s participation in the California Arts Council”s “Take Em to the Arts!,” encouraging attending a day at a play, museum, dance, music, cultural event or class in art.
