It is election time again and time to vote on many issues and candidates. Our MUSD currently has three seats open for a term of four years. It is easy to become disenchanted and even a bit cynical with politics today, but we must not forget how very important each and every vote is.
As a former school board member myself, I take this to heart. I ask of you to please take a good hard look at each candidate running for our school board. Do your research and learn what each one stands for. What is his or her platform? Is he or she someone with integrity and worthy of your trust and your vote? Serving on the school board is an enormous responsibility and must not be taken lightly. If you do not know about a candidate, please do your homework or please don”t vote.
Your vote should be based on knowledge and fact. Vote for the best possible candidate, not necessarily the one with the most political ads, signs, etc.
We have a responsibility and duty to make smart, informed choices. I urge you to get informed and VOTE!
