KELSEYVILLE — Katie King”s 10 aces, nine on jump serves, propelled the Kelseyville Knights to an easy 25-12, 25-9, 25-13 win over the Middletown Mustangs in a North Central League I North varsity volleyball match on Tuesday in Kelseyville.
The North-leading Knights improved to 4-0 and 23-2 overall. Middletown fell to 1-3 in the North standings.
“She had a good night,” Kelseyville coach Larry Bresso said of King, who also had six kills and six digs.
The Knights also received a strong outing from Lauren Nixon, who led the team with seven kills and two blocks and also tied King for the team high in digs with six.
“She also did a great job on serve receive,” Bresso said of Nixon, one of the Knights” returning All-Leaguers.
Setter Jill Bailey added 27 assists, five kills and three digs.
Knight served 11 straight points in Kelseyville”s game-two victory and Kaitlyn Goff reeled off seven in a row in game three.
