Why stay the course?
It”s laughable how President Bush uses that “cut and run” accusation at the liberals as though with no basis of reason they want to just pull out of Iraq. A vast majority of the American public want us to get out of Iraq. Because with due thought process and not on a whim, they realize what a mess that has been created with no strategy.
Our soldiers, plus the Iraqi people, are killed daily. It”s inevitable a civil war is in the process and our being there just endangers our people more. Why state the so-called course? What course?
You can”t force our democracy down the throat of a radically different culture, religion and political ideology than ours. Strife and a struggle for power will ensue, no matter what bush wants. Bush states that this also is about a fight on terrorism, when it has actually created more terrorism and hatred toward America.
This whole Iraqi war has been created by prevarication by President Bush and his cohorts. The only true “weapon of mass destruction” is George W. Bush. He has jeopardized our relations with the rest of the world. We Americans are hated abroad in most other countries because of the incompetence and pompous arrogance of our government.
