Noma Ione Nobles Haskins passed away Oct. 24, 2006 in Kelseyville. Born July 17, 1909, she was 97 years old. She was the daughter of George B. and Fannie Belle Nobles.

She married Alvin E. Haskins Aug. 30, 1930 in Kelseyville. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1980. They lived in Santa Monica, CA for many years. She moved back to Kelseyville in 1993.

She was interested in genealogy and was proud of her Lake County roots. She was a fourth-generation descendant from early settlers of Lake County. Her great-grandparents were Stephen B. and Elizabeth Nobles, Elijah & Martha C. Reeves, Pitt W. and Spicy E. Vann and George M. and Virginia Bucknell. She spent the last two years in assisted living at Deerwood. The residents and staff were like family to her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin and her sister, Zelda Houston.

She is survived by her son, Donald A. Haskins (Margery) of Lakeport; three grandchildren, Richard A. Haskins (Lorie), Debra L. Haskins (Paul), and Randal R. Haskins (Ivy); four great-grandchildren, Steven (Katherine), Jonathan, Christian and Emily Haskins; and three great-great-grandchildren, Lauren, Elizabeth and Caroline Haskins, all of Los Angeles. She is also survived by her sister, LaDean Stainback and her brother-in-law, Joseph Houston, both of Kelseyville.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31 2006 at Kelseyville Cemetery.
