I would like to add to several previous statements in letters commending the Business Outreach Response Team (BORT) and Chuck Doty for their positive influence on Lake County business.
I became aware of BORT and Chuck Doty in 1997 when I was appointed to the Lake County Planning Commission and began attending BORT meetings. Chuck”s extremely high energy level and always-positive outlook have created a good image for Lake County.
BORT-assisted projects coming up for Planning Commission consideration received the same level of scrutiny as any other, but I found them to be more thoroughly prepared, they had fewer unresolved issues and the applicant had a better understanding of the permitting process.
