To celebrate the third annual Library Day, the Lake County Library Board is conducting a new survey. This survey, unlike last year”s poll, is a problematic one, inquiring what five essential books would one take in a national disaster.

The entry blanks are available at all four Lake County Library branches. There is also a form for children to fill out. All entries collected in canisters will be collated and counted by the library board, and must be in by Friday, Nov. 10.

The top five in each category will be announced at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Redbud Library conference room during Library Day.

The author to be honored this year is the great English author Charles Dickens and the famous MGM movie “A Tale of Two Cities” will be shown at 2 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend. Refreshments will be served.

Editor”s Note: Harold E. Riley is second district advisor on the Lake County Library Board.
