Magi Olive Osborne, aged 83, passed away on Oct. 30, 2006. She was born in Lower Lake and lived throughout California. In 1968 she returned to Lake County and built a home in Buckingham with her husband, Capt. Charles Osborne.

Magi had the special talent of expression, and combined with her strong work ethic and truly kind soul, was able to share the gift of art with others in the community. She was known as an art teacher and an integral part of art societies in Lake County, namely the Konocti Art Society and the Lake County Art League. Magi also earned a degree at the California Culinary Academy and an art degree at Long Beach State College.

Magi”s involvement in the community also extended to helping to improve both Lake County and the Buckingham area in any way possible.

She held a deep love and appreciation for the natural beauty around her which was expressed in her artwork as well as attempts to preserve areas such as the Black Forest in Buckingham.

Magi was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, and daughter, Judi. She is survived by her mother, Marion Canny; two grandchildren, Charles Provencher and Audrey Ransier; and a large, loving extended family.

Magi always enjoyed life to its fullest extent and made every effort to share that joy with others. She leaves many close and dear friends with an irreplaceable absence.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, Nov. 10 at 11 a.m. at Chapel of the Lakes in Lakeport. There will also be a special “remembrance” at the Buckingham Park Boat House one hour after the service ends.
