EUGENE, Ore. — Clear Lake High School senior Brittany Rumfelt signed her official Letter of Intent to attend the University of Oregon on a softball scholarship last week. She joins four other incoming players, according to head coach Kathy Arendsen.

Rumfelt, a left-handed pitcher, helped lead the Cardinals to the North Central League I South championship last season and was named league most valuable player. She also earned Redwood Empire MVP honors and was named the Record-Bee”s female Athlete of the Year.

Also signing Letters of Intent to attend Oregon were Monique Fuiava, a first baseman from Mohave High School in Las Vegas; twins Cortney and Ashley Kivett from Yucaipa High School in Yucaipa; and Kaitlin Vitek from William S. Hart High School in Valencia.

The Ducks graduate four players following the 2007 season.
