Louise Bertsch, age 83, passed away peacefully on Monday, Nov. 13, 2006 in Lakeport.
She is survived by sisters, Agnes Riley of San Pedro and Ceil Robb of Cerritos; daughters, Dar Bertsch of Santa Cruz and Debbie Bailey of Las Vegas and her husband, Rich; sons, Ron Bertsch of Lakeport and his wife, Barbara, Gary Bertsch of Sacramento and his wife, Cheri and Michael Bertsch of Washington; grandchildren, Christina, Kari, Lannette, Douglas, Michelle, Bernadette, Tina, Tommy and Ashley; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Louise was a long-time volunteer at Kaiser and Dameron hospitals in Stockton. She enjoyed sewing and growing tomatoes and squash in her garden. She was a devout Catholic who enjoyed doing puzzles and playing Bingo with her friends at the Lakeport Senior Center. She very much enjoyed feeding her beloved ducks.
In the late 60s, Louise was owner of the Dutch Harbor Resort in Lakeport. She left Lakeport after the sale of the resort, but recently returned here, a place she had always loved, where she could enjoy her remaining years.
She will truly be missed by all.
