UPDATED:

I entirely concur with every rebuttal on a certain letter to the editor about the entire school board being fired, and the singling out of Lower Lake High being a delinquent factory.

We all know first off that this letter writer from Kelseyville is thriving on the attention, albeit negative or not. But this is a school, meaning Lower Lake High School, that”s not unlike any other school.

That Kelseyville messiah could be just as much talking about any school in Oregon, Wisconsin, Georgia, etc. Delinquency or any discipline problems with any student starts with the students” home life. It”s the root of the problem, not the school board, or teachers or even peers.

The Konocti Unified School District does the best that they can, with the limited funds that they have. For many years I”ve attended Lower Lake High School sporting events. And as a whole the students conduct themselves well and seem to like the teachers. I”ve seen little to no delinquency problems. I realize that I”m basing this on events I attend. But the students are no different than anywhere else. Scholastically, reading Yuba College counselor Pam Bordisso”s letter to the editor covers that angle for me.

I”ve repeatedly, over and over again, all these years, seen Anita Gordon volunteer her time on many, many positive school functions. So maybe that Kelseyville Ernest Hemingway should do a commentary on Kelseyville High, not lower Lake High.
