On Sept. 18, 2006, devoted husband and father, Thomas Burke Rogers passed on to eternal life.

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come unto condemnation, but is passed from death to life.” — John 5:24.

Tom was born on Feb. 14, 1961 in Sebastopol to Eldon and Bessie Rogers. Most of his childhood was spent in Challenge in the Sierra foothills. It was there he developed the love for the outdoors; fishing and hunting were among his favorites.

In Tom”s sophomore year in high school he moved with his family to Lower Lake. Tom attended Lower Lake High School where he met his high school sweetheart.

Graduated in 1979. Married to Kerry on July 19, 1981 and celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in 2006.

Tom resided in Lake County most of his adult life with his wife and two children where he developed lasting friendships. One of his passions was working with youth and young adults both in the workplace and at church. He was a mentor to many.

Another passion of Tom”s was music. He loved playing his guitar and singing especially as a worship leader.

Tom was preceded in death by his father Eldon Rogers and brother Tim. He is survived by his mother Bessie Rogers, wife Kerry, son and daughter Joe and Michaela, daughter-in-law Abbra, brothers Larry and Gary and grandchildren, Alyssa and Kaden.

Tom was loved by many and will be greatly missed, not only by his family but also by the many friends he had in his life. Condolences can be sent to Kerry Rogers, PO Box 34553, Reno, NV 89533-4553.
