Ernest “Ernie” Conrad Prevost passed peacefully in Lakeport on Sunday, Nov. 19, 2006.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Josephine “Dolly” Prevost of Lakeport; children, Karen Bach (Frank) of Tallahassee, Fla., Susan Gainey (Jim) of Lakewood, Nanci Blodgett (Tom) of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Lisa Reed (Grant) of Yucaipi; brother Ronald Prevost of Grand Rapid, Mich., and sister Alice Murphy (Paul) of North Bend, Ore.; grandchildren Dan Gievers, Donna Zuniga, Kathy Gainey (Zachary King), Kim Gainey, Melissa Blodgett, and Brandon, Brittney and Braydon Reed; great-grandchildren, Steven Gievers, and Jacob and Jessica Zuniga.
“Ernie” worked as an engineering administrator with Garrett Air Research for 35 years. He was Past President of Torrance Area Youth Band, President of Pier 1900 Home Owners Association of Lakeport, served as an Usher at St Mary” Immaculate, as well as a member of the Knights of Columbus, Parish Counsel, and St Mary”s Men”s Club, a native of Seattle, Wash., and a member of our community since coming from Los Angeles County in 1986. Friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22 at St Mary”s Immaculate Church, 801 N. Main St., Lakeport. A vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary, 1625 High Street. Visiting hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Ernest had requested cremation and will be placed at St Mary” Cemetery at a later date.
