Feb. 28, 1918 to Nov. 19, 2006
Freeda passed away peacefully at home in Kelseyville. She was born in Osage, Ark., and then moved to California in 1941. Freeda and her husband Vernard lived in King City until 1989, when they moved to Kelseyville to be near their daughter, Verna. Freeda was retired from the King City School District where she worked as cafeteria manager for over 30 years. She and Vernard celebrated 72 years of marriage in March of 2006.
Her favorite thing was being with her children and grandchildren and making sure they were happy. She nurtured, supported and provided within her means every need to make life more pleasurable for her family.
She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and church, Lakeport Christian Center. Life without her will never be the same.
Her son, Ken Keck, preceded her in death in 2000.
She is survived by her husband, Vernard Keck of Kelseyville; daughter, Verna Russell of Kelseyville; grandchildren, Verena Call of Kelseyville, Robin Anderson of Rancho Murieta, Steve Anderson of Templeton, Aaron Keck, Jason Keck and Kimberly Ellifritt of Washington; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 25 at Lakeport Christian Center in Lakeport. Burial will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28 at Kelseyville Cemetery.
