As election day drew nearer, I was reminded of the sacrifice and fortitude with which our forefathers persevered against fierce adversity. Many died in order to secure freedoms they held dear, liberties far too precious to forsake. They secured them not only for themselves but for posterity.
I dared not neglect this privilege, indeed, this responsibility even in the face of disdain.
In light of our forefathers” resolve, we were encouraged to vote on election day and especially those who firmly believe that ours was truly founded as “…one nation under God…” Let us never forsake, negate, or neglect so great a trust. To do so would have been unconscionable.
