LAKEPORT — It”s that time again — time to ring in the holiday season with the beginning of the Lake County Christmas Fund.
The day after the Thanksgiving holiday marks the beginning of the fund, which raises money for families in need of a holiday gift basket. Each year, Lake County Publishing, Bruno”s Shop Smart and the Lakeport Rotary Club sponsor the Lake County Christmas Fund. Your generosity last year raised an all-time high of $33,822.
This is our 22nd year of providing food baskets for families throughout Lake County. The 1,200 food baskets will be distributed equally to families on south and north sides of the lake.
You can help the Lake County Christmas Fund by donating whatever you can spare and bringing it to any of the five Westamerica Bank branches or the two Umpqua Bank branches that are in Lake County.
Your donation and holiday message will be noted in both the Lake County Record-Bee and the Clear Lake Observer?American.
