UPDATED:

Noel Glover went home to be with the Lord Thursday, Nov. 30 at his Clearlake home.

Pastor Glover has been a Christian icon in Lake County for over 30 years. His ambassadorship for Christ will be sorely missed.

Noel was born in Alabama in 1919, served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and then pastored a church in Fremont for 18 years before retiring to Lakeport in 1975.

Although Pastor Glover never pastored his own church in Lake County, he served in pulpits in various interim capacities in churches all over the county, and was an adored and revered mentor to many pastors and church leaders in and out of Lake County.

Noel Glover was in inspiration and encouragement to all who came into contact with him. He was truly a living Bible for all to see.

Lake County lost a true hero last week. Noel is now with his Lord, but here on earth, he will be missed by all who knew him.

Noel leaves behind his loving wife Thelma; a son, Terry Glover; two grandsons, Chad and Glenn Glover; and two stepsons, Ron and Gary Marsh.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 7 at Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary, 1625 High St., Lakeport, followed by a graveside interment at Kelseyville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today, Wednesday, Dec. 6.

For further information call Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary, 263-0357 or 994-5611 or visit www.chapelofthelakes.com.
