Christmas music in the air
LAKEPORT — Clear Lake High School will present its award-winning Concert Band and Jazz Band in a seasonal performance on Wednesday, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. At 130 members, more than one-quarter of all high school students perform with the band. The concert will take place on the new Performing Arts Stage of the Marge Alakszay Center on Lange St. New theatrical lighting for the stage has recently been installed in the theatre by Show Systems of Redwood Valley. This project was funded by the Lakeport Enhanced Education Foundation, as well as the Lake County Wine Alliance. Admission is free.

Child Care Expert to Speak
KELSEYVILLE — Parents and community members are invited to join the Lake County Child Care Planning Council for a presentation by Bruce Perry, M.D., Ph.D., an internationally known authority on children in crisis, at Konocti Harbor Resort and Spa. Dr. Perry will be speaking on January 11 from 12:30 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. A $15 charge will apply for the afternoon session; the evening will be free.
