Rotary Club”s community Christmas

CLEARLAKE — Rotary Club of Clearlake will be offering its annual Community Christmas Dinner, this year to be held at the Burns Valley Elementary School Multipurpose Room today from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Burns Valley School is located at 3620 Pine Street. Santa will appear at the dinner with pictures and gifts for all children. There is no charge.

Open House at the Park

CLEARLAKE — A Christmas Open House will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Anderson Marsh State Historic Park, Highway 53. Santa will be on hand to greet children and old-fashioned Christmas songs will be performed by local musicians. Hot apple cider, cookies and coffee are served free. Join the fun of an old-fashioned Christmas.

KELSEYVILLE — The third annual Holiday Charity Cocktail Party will be held at Richmond Park Bar and Grill, 9435 Konocti Bay Road at 7 p.m. Saturday.There will be food, dancing and raffle prizes. Live music will be provided by T-2. The group will be collecting new shoes for school children kindergarten through ninth grade. Please bring your shoe donations the night of the party. You can donate new shoes, a gift certificate for any store that sells shoes or a check. The Lake County Office of Education Healthy Start Program will be the distributor. SOI annual Christmas dinner, dance

NICE — The Sons Of Italy will hold its annual Christmas Dinner Dance on Saturday at the Lodge, 2817 Highway 20. No-host bar at 5 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. At 6:30 p.m. dance to the music of Shot Gun Willie. Tickets in advance $13; at the door $15; Dancing only $9. Reservations are suggested. n Chamber”s annual Christmas parade

CLEARLAKE — The Saturday parade officially opens Christmas in Clearlake. Staging starts at 5 p.m. in Redbud Park parking lot and parade begins at 6 and will end at Austin Park about 7 p.m. A ceremony will follow with awards for best floats. Lake County Realtors Assn. will bring Santa Claus to town and Lions Club will furnish hot chocolate. Entry for floats is $10 to cover trophies. Holiday celebration

LUCERNE — The Lake County Democratic Club”s annual Holiday Celebration and charity gift giving will be held on Saturday at the Lucerne Alpine Senior Center at 3985 Country Club Drive. This year”s member donated gifts will go to people who receive Meals-On-Wheels from the Senior Center. Guests attending the event are requested to bring unwrapped gifts of note cards or stationery and/or postage stamps. A brunch catered by the Senior Center will begin at 11 a.m. Those who do not wish to partake in the brunch are welcome to arrive at noon. A potluck Dessert Social and holiday entertainment will follow at that time.Attendees are also asked to bring a small dessert for the Dessert Social. The cost of the brunch is $8. Those attending the brunch must make reservations by calling the Lake County Democrats at 277-0833, or by sending an email to lakecountydemocrats@lakecountydemocrats.org.

Senior Dancers rock on

LUCERNE — The Lakeport Senior Center will present the “Sizzlin”” Senior Line Dancers in an afternoon program starting at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Lucerne Alpine Senior Center. Line dances will be done to favorite Christmas Songs. Refreshments will be served. This is a benefit for the Lakeport and Lucerne Centers.

Grange serves breakfast

UPPER LAKE — Bachelor Valley Grange will be serving breakfast Sunday at the Grange Hall, 9355 Government St. from 8 util 11 a.m. The ladies of the Grange will also have a Christmas gift shop featuring handmade items open during that time.

Event benefits BV Community Service, and all tips go to UL High School”s Ag Department-FFA. Adults $5 and children under 12 $3. For more information call Donna Isley 275-2661.
