Elsa Fowler passed away Dec. 6, 2006 at her home in Santa Rosa, at the age of 80. Elsa was born on April 15, 1926 in Mexico City to Salvador and Francisca Necoechea. She moved with her family to Lakeport in 1953. Elsa married Lorin Fowler, Jr. on March 8, 1958. She moved to Santa Rosa after Lorin”s death in 1988. Her passions were her family and friends, traveling, gardening and enjoying each and every day. Elsa is survived by her three children, Maria Necoechea of Sacramento, Diana Madura and her husband Jeffrey of Santa Rosa, and Michael Fowler of Newburg, Ore., and his wife Emily Ford of Kelseyville. Adored grandmother of Julie Lorenzi, Charles Green, Nolan Hebert, Natalie Hebert and Joshua Madura, Elsa is also survived by her brother, Gene Necoechea, of Lakeport ; nephew, Rafael Alvarez and his wife Cyndi of Yuba City, and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her dear husband, Lorin and her sister Julia Alvarez.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15 at Santa Rosa Mortuary Eggen and Lance Chapel, 1540 Mendocino Ave., Santa Rosa.
The family suggests donations to the Sonoma County Council on Aging, Services for Seniors, General Donation Fund, in memory of Elsa Fowler, 730 Bennett Valley Road, Santa Rosa, CA 95404.
