Recent photographs from Iraq showed a grief-filled man, Haqi Ismaeel, closing the eyes of his three-year-old daughter Shayma, who had been killed in crossfire between U.S. forces and resistance gunmen.
In America people buy Christmas presents so they can see children”s eyes light up, yet go along with prolonging a child-killing war based on lies in Iraq. Demand an instant end from the new Congress.
The only thing that can stop the slaughter is justice. Give them the head of Bush, for it is his war. This will get the attention of Iraqis and show that Americans have consciences. Demand that Congress impeach Bush and turn over all records of the war plotting to international war monitoring agencies.
The way out is for Congress to officially apologize and compensate victims of the unleashed violence. Congress should cut off funding for the war and convert the Green Zone and occupied military bases into medical convalescent centers. Congress must impose an absolute embargo on the export of weapons. Weapons profiteering to dictators was the root cause of 9/11, not the people of Iraq, so why should they suffer for Bush?
