County Supervisor Ed Robey is pleased to announce his selection of Monica Rosenthal to serve as District 1 Planning Commissioner beginning in January 2007. Rosenthal will replace Frieda Camotta of Hidden Valley Lake who has served with distinction since 1997 and is retiring at the end of this year. “Monica has the right combination of judgement, fairness, temperament and desire to serve the community to be a great Planning Commissioner” Robey said.

Formerly a resident of Cobb, Rosenthal now lives in Middletown with her husband David and twin children Rebecca and Russell. “I am excited to have the opportunity to serve and grateful to Ed Robey for his vote of confidence. Frieda Camotta will be a hard act to follow, but I”m up for the challenge. I love Lake County ? this is my home, and I look forward to serving as District 1 Planning Commissioner.”

The County Planning Commission is made up of five commissioners appointed from the five supervisorial districts. The commission makes decisions and recommendations on a variety of planning and land use issues and is an important part of our local county government. The appointment to the planning commission will go before the Board of Supervisors at its Tuesday, Jan. 9 meeting.
