Alice C. (Andrade) DeAndrade died of natural causes Dec. 22, 2006 in Manteca, CA at the age of 102.

She was born Alice George on February 21, 1904 in Pico, Azor Islands, Portugal and was a resident of Oakland, CA for 65 years before moving to Manteca three years ago.

She was preceded in death by her husband William A. DeAndrade and one grandchild, Bill DeAndrade II.

She is survived by her son, Bill DeAndrade and his wife Pamela of Clearlake Oaks, CA along with seven grandchildren; Lucy Althoff of Manteca, Ca; Tony DeAndrade of Newport Beach, CA; Larry West of Oakland, CA; Joe DeAndrade of Las Vegas, NV; Lisa Matus of Las Vegas, NV; and Marianne DeAndrade of Las Vegas, NV and Christopher DeAndrade of Clearlake Oaks, CA.

She was a devoted mother and grandmother, as well as a devout Catholic. She attended St. Columbia Catholic Church for 60 of her 65 years in Oakland. Alice was also a long-time member of Irmandade da Sanctisima Trinidad (The Holy Trinity Society), SPRSI (The Saint Isabel Society), and St. John”s of El Cerrito.

Rosary was held Tuesday, Dec. 26 at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home in Manteca. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 27 at St. Columbia Church in Oakland followed by burial in St. Mary”s Cemetery in Oakland.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to your local Catholic charities.
