I am a thirteen year old girl, so you probably wouldn”t think I care about the Iraq war, but guess what, I do. I care about it because it is my generation that will be paying the billions of dollars that we owe in debt due to the Iraq war. We are in there because Bush lied and said there were weapons of mass destruction, which wasn”t true.
I wouldn”t have minded as much if the money went to universal health coverage, education, or something worth while, but instead it went to a stupid war that created more terrorists and now the rest of the world hates us. We are over $346 billion dollars in debt from the Iraq war, according to The National Priorities Project. Instead of this pointless war, we could have had over 16 million four year college scholarships, or over 207 million kids could have have health coverage for one year.
What kind of dream is that?
That doesn”t sound like the American dream to me.
