Gary Louis DeMaria, age 55, born Dec. 12, 1951 in Santa Rosa and passed away Dec. 24, 2006.

Gary graduated from Piner High and served two years in the United States Army. He was proud to be Airborne. Gary moved to Clearlake Oaks in 1973 to begin a 30-year employment as a cable splicer for Pacific Bell.

In Lake County he met and married his wife Patty. The two enjoyed over 31 years of marriage and had three daughters. With Patty and many friends by his side, Gary enjoyed Harley Davidson rides to places near and far. If you needed a hole dug, tree trimmed or tail pipe polished, Gary was ready and excited to help. He was dependable and fun to be around. Gary had a unique ability to make light of any situation and held onto his wonderful sense of humor throughout his battle with cancer. Gary was a loving husband and the very best dad and “papa” a child could ever ask for. His humor and love will be missed.

Gary is survived by his daughters, Tina Ehrlich and Tiffany DeMaria of Clearlake Oaks, and Angela (Eric) DeMaria-Souza of Lakeport; grandchildren, Anthony DeMaria, Candace Monize, Karlie Ehrlich, Alainna Souza and Gary DeMaria; brothers, Rick (Nancy) DeMaria and Dennis (Yolanda) DeMaria; sister, Teri (Carmen) Simpson; and parents, Louie and Shirley DeMaria.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 11 at the DeMaria home, 14246 Tomalee Lane, Clearlake Oaks.

Arrangements entrusted to Jones & Lewis Clear Lake Memorial Chapel.
