Lena M. Sims entered into rest Jan. 7, 2007 in Fremont. Born Sept. 10, 1918 in Texas, she was 88 years old. A recent resident of Fremont, she was formerly a 30 year resident of Lake County.
She loved to camp and travel and was a member of Kaba-Tin a service club in Lake County, Good Sam and was a long time member of Clearlake Methodist Church.
Beloved wife of the late Louis Sims. Devoted mother of Joann Hieb of Lake County and her recently deceased husband David; Don Kirby and his wife Pat of Fremont and the late Carl Houston Kirby. Loving grandmother of eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to a funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, at Berge-Pappas-Smith Chapel of the Angels, 40842 Fremont Blvd., Fremont. She will be laid to rest at Rolling Hills Memorial Park, Richmond, CA.
