Southshore Little League will begin registration for the 2007 season this week. Sign-ups will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. tonight, Wednesday, Jan. 17 at Clearlake City Hall.
Additional registration dates include 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20 in the Lower Lake High School gym; 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24 at Clearlake City Hall; and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27 in the Lower Lake High School gym.
Player registration fees are as follows: one child, $67; two children, $99; three children, $121; and four children, $138. Fees include uniform, shirt, hat and trophy and is payable by cash, check or money order. Please bring a copy of your child”s birth certificate and proof of physical address when registering.
Southshore Little League serves children 5 through 15 years of age in several divisions of play including T-ball, Lower Minors, Minors, Majors and Junior. The softball league includes two division: Majors (nine through 12 years old) and Minors (13 through 15 years old).
Baseball league age is prior to May 1 and softball league age is prior to Jan. 1. Tryouts for baseball Minors, Majors and Juniors as well for the softball divisions will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 4 and Sunday, Feb. 11 at the Redbud Ballpark in Clearlake. Tryouts are mandatory for the aforementioned divisions.

Volunteers, coaches and umpires are also being sought by the league. Interested persons should bring their driver”s license to a registration date and fill out a volunteer form.
