KELSEYVILLE — The Kelseyville Knights made a late run at the Fort Bragg Timberwolves but fell short at the end, 52-48, in a North Central League I North junior varsity boys” basketball game on Tuesday night in Kelseyville.
Kelseyville, making its league debut, trailed by as many as 10 points in the fourth quarter. The Knights, now 6-6 overall, drew to within two points of the Timberwolves with 1:30 remaining but couldn”t get any closer.
Matt Jones scored a team-leading 17 points and also had eight rebounds for Kelseyville. Alex Tannous added eight points and a team-best nine rebounds, and Peter Wotherspoon added eight points and five assists.
The Knights return to action Friday night in Willits and are home Saturday to play St. Helena at 6 p.m.
