Jeneal was born May 20, 1945 in Holdrege, Neb., to Louis and Alice Thompson, who were both Salvation Army Ministers.
Jan lived in the Mid West for 17 years, moving around to different locations due to her parent”s occupation. She claimed Marinette, Wis., as her home town.
Jan came to California in 1962 for a short visit with her aunt and uncle. She eventually went to work for Chevron Research in Richmond, where she continued working until 1991, when she and her husband of 42 years, Terry, moved to Lakeport.
Jeneal loved her family. She enjoyed boating on Clearlake and dancing at the Friday night concerts in the Park.
She would do anything for anyone. She had her moments, but loved everyone and was forever giving.
She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
Funeral services for Jeneal will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24 at Chapel of the Lakes, 1625 High St., Lakeport.
A visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23.
